VMQ / FEP
The VMQ / FEP O-rings have a core of FKM and are seamlessly sheathed with FEP. FEP is similar to PTFE in terms of properties. These O-rings are often used in high thermal and chemical stresses. The FEP casing of the o-ring is chemically very resistant and protects the elastic core against corrosive influences. Another feature of the jacket is the small friction coefficient. As a result, the elastic properties of the VMQ core are combined with the high chemical and thermal resistance.
Temperature range:
-55°C to +200°C
Installation:
The assembly requires some care because of the limited elongation properties of the material. To simplify installation, the flexibility can be increased by heating the material in hot water or oil to a temperature of 80 to 100 ° C.
